Mel Gibson talks umbilical cord stem cells and how they helped his father
A recent podcast between host Joe Rogan and Dr Neil Riordan and Mel Gibson saw an extensive discussion about stem cell treatments available in Panama. Dr Riordan set up the Stem Cell Institute in Panama where they have used stem cell therapy as part of treatment for:
- Autism
- Cerebral palsy
- Heart failure
- Multiple sclerosis
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Spinal cord injury
- Autoimmune diseases
Dr Riordan first met Mel Gibson when treating his 91 year old father, who after receiving an intravenous stem cell treatment using umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells saw huge improvements to his health including kidney function and site. He was pushed into the clinic in a wheelchair and a month later was pushing a nurse round in the wheelchair instead. Mel explains the transformation in his father was remarkable:
“It was like bee stings, it was like he got a new lease of life. It fixed all his inflammation and pain and he started walking again” continued Mel “in his heart he had a prolapsed valve that healed and his cognitive powers improved, his eyesight improved”
Dr Rirodon explains how the mesenchymal cells from the umbilical cord – by isolating these cells they are able to grow them and intravenously inject young ‘day zero’ cells into the patient. These cells hone in on areas of inflammation and effectively stimulate the old cells and restarting them.
